Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is performed when a person’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped. Though cardiac or respiratory emergencies are rare in a dental office, CPR certification is a must for any medical professional.

Howard Academy’s CPR certification course covers basic, intermediate, and advanced concepts — giving you the knowledge and confidence to act in case the unthinkable happens.

Do I Need a CPR Class

While it may be rare to experience a life-threatening situation in a dental office, CPR certification is necessary to show you can administer this lifesaving procedure. It is also mandatory for those working in a dental office in California and must be renewed every two years.

All dental professionals including dentists, hygienists, assistants (DAs, RDAs and OAPs) must keep their CPR

What Does the CPR Certification Class Cover?

Howard Academy’s CPR course prepares students for emergency situations that require CPR or basic life support.

Instructors will show how to keep a person’s blood flowing to preserve brain function until emergency medical assistance arrives. Students are also trained to use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to restore a heartbeat.

In addition to earning a CPR certification, we provide four hours of continued education units for students completing the course.

Howard Healthcare Academy is your best option for earning additional dental assistance certifications. We offer a wide range of standalone programs to complete your dental professional profile.
