Just in case of the unthinkable, it’s always good to have the knowledge to handle emergencies. Everyone who works as a dental care professional – dentists, hygienists, RDAs, and more – will benefit from our CPR certification. And so will your patients in the event of an emergency! Getting your CPR credentials isn’t just a nice-to-have – it’s also mandatory for any dental care professional worker in the state of California.
Why do you need a CPR class?
While it may be rare to experience a life-threatening situation in a dental office, CPR certification is necessary to show you can administer this lifesaving procedure. CPR certification is required for those working in a dental office in California and must be renewed every two years. All dental professionals including dentists, hygienists, assistants (DAs, RDAs and OAPs) must keep their CPR certification current.
What does the Howard Academy CPR certification class offer?
Students learn to be prepared in an emergency situation that requires CPR or basic life support. Instructors in the CPR training course teach students how to keep a person’s blood flowing to preserve brain function during cardiac arrest by performing chest compressions and artificial ventilation until emergency medical assistance arrives. In addition to performing CPR, students learn to use an automatic external defibrillator to send an electric shock to the patient’s heart in an attempt to restore a heartbeat.
In addition to earning a CPR certification, our CPR certification class provides four hours of continued education units for students completing the course.
Where will you take the Howard Academy CPR certification San Diego?
